After the success of the 2005 Awards program, the committee were keen to press ahead with plans for 2006’s event. New helpers were recruited, participant and judge’s feedback was carefully evaluated, and Port80 pushed ahead with plans for a bigger and better 2006 WAWAs.

This time, the response was even better than the inaugural year - over 150 entries were received, a 50% increase on 2005. Judging responsibilities were taken on by Cameron Adams, John Allsopp, Mack Nevill, David Trewern, and Matt Voerman. The quality of submissions was once again very high, and the evaluation of them difficult.

Winners were announced at a sit-down black tie dinner, again at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, on the 18th of August 2006.
